Mr. Resch has successfully presented criminal post-conviction and appellate matters to the Nevada Supreme Court, United States District Court, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and even the United States Supreme Court.  He has presented oral argument to the Ninth Circuit on several occasions and written thousands of pages of briefing in various criminal appeals.   In addition, Mr. Resch is an experienced trial attorney and prosecutor, as he has successfully handled criminal cases throughout the State of Nevada which involved everything from trespassing all the way through sexual offenses and murder.  Many of his cases involved state employees or public officials, which thereby featured many unique and sensitive aspects.

Mr. Resch has had a lifelong devotion to our criminal justice system and is ready to find solutions to whatever issues you or a loved one may be facing. 

Jamie Resch

Jamie Resch is the founder of Resch Law, PLLC d/b/a Conviction Solutions.  Before attending law school at Northern Illinois University in 1996, Mr. Resch worked as a non-sworn officer for the Oshkosh Police Department and received a B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh.  Following law school, Mr. Resch moved to Las Vegas, where he passed the bar exam in 1999.  After working at various civil litigation law firms, in 2005 Mr. Resch became a deputy attorney general at the Nevada Office of the Attorney General in the Special Prosecutions Division.  In the ten years that followed, Mr. Resch handled all manner of complicated criminal prosecution and criminal appeal cases, including work on several death penalty cases.  Mr. Resch was quickly promoted to Senior Deputy Attorney General, and in 2014 served as Chief Deputy Attorney General of the Special Prosecutions Division.  As part of that position, Mr. Resch also served as head of the Attorney General's Public Integrity Unit, where he oversaw complex criminal prosecutions involving charges against state employees and public officials involving charges such as perjury, wiretapping, and fraud.

Following her Air Force service, she worked as a Deputy Attorney General at the State of Nevada Office of the Attorney General.  She prosecuted various criminal offenses, such as inmate crimes, escape, state employee crimes, identity theft, securities fraud, and district attorney conflict cases.  Ms. Barack also represented the State in both state and federal appellate cases.

 Ms. Barack is an active member of both the Nevada and Maryland state bar.  She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Nevada, the United States District Court for the District of Nevada, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the Court of Appeals of Maryland, the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals, the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. 

Ms. Barack serves as Of Counsel to the firm, where she provides her unique assistance with appellate and criminal defense issues facing veterans and service members on an as-needed basis.

Brooke Foley Barack

Originally from Massachusetts, Brooke Foley Barack served on active duty as a Weather Specialist in the U.S. Air Force from 1989 to 1994.  She was stationed at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois and at Fort Richardson, Alaska, where she provided weather support to the U.S. Army.  She received her commission through Air Force ROTC and completed her bachelors degree in Journalism from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1998.  She attended the University of Maryland School of Law in Baltimore in 2001, where she participated in a Criminal Defense Clinic and was an Associate Editor for the journal The Business Lawyer. 

Ms. Barack returned to the Air Force as an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate in 2002. As a JAG attorney, Ms. Barack prosecuted military cases and provided legal advice while stationed at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, and Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina.  She provided deployed support as Staff Judge Advocate for the 40th Air Expeditionary Group, Diego Garcia.  She served as Legal Advisor on an Aircraft Accident Investigation Board at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.  She also served as a Reserve Attorney at Nellis Air Force Base Legal Office.  Ms. Barack received several awards and decorations from her service, including the National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, and Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.
